CREST is also a partner of NEN Philippines for its EE&C training designed for incubators and entrepreneurs. The said incubation training for EEC startups was held on June 5-7, 2023, and it equipped academe members from different state universities and colleges (SUCs and higher education institutions (HEIs) within the city with the knowledge and skills to understand energy science and laws, energy efficiency policies and regulations, and the energy efficiency ecosystem in the Philippines. The participants were also introduced to the latest energy efficiency solutions, technologies, innovations, and the different types of energy efficiency startups and their business models.

The said trainings was part of the NEN Philippines partnership project with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The widespread adoption of EE&C is mandatory for all government institutions and private institutions with high energy demand as stipulated under the Republic Act No. 11285, the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Act.
